    Main Ingredients in this One Pot Creamy Beef & Mushroom Stroganoff

    Steak: A thin sliced steak cut into smaller bite-sized pieces. You can swap this for ground beef or ground turkey for a lighter option!

    Vegetables: A combo of onions, mushrooms, and garlic to add in a ton of flavor and fragrance.

    Saucy Ingredients: This beef stroganoff has a super flavorful creamy sauce made with a can of cream of mushroom soup, worcestershire sauce, cooking sherry, and beef bouillon. 

    Egg Noodles: Wide egg noodles are a must for this recipe, substituting for another thick wide pasta will certainly work if that’s all you have!

    How to Make the One Pot Creamy Beef & Mushroom Stroganoff

    Step One: Cut 1.5 lbs of steak into ½ inch pieces and dredge in a bowl of ¼ cup flour and ¼ tsp of black pepper. 

    Step Two: Heat ¼ cup of butter in a large pot over medium low heat. Once butter melts, add the steak and cook until browned. 

    Step Three: Once steak has browned, add ½ medium yellow onion chopped small, 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, and ½ lb of roughly chopped mushrooms. Saute for 3-5 minutes.

    Step Four: Add a pack of bouillon to two cups of boiling water, stir and add to the pot. Add in 2 teaspoons of worcestershire sauce and ¼ cup of cooking sherry. Cover the pot and let it simmer for 20 minutes on low heat.

    Step Five: Add 2 cups of water and 6 cups of egg noodles and bring to a boil. Turn heat down to medium low and cook for approx. 10 minutes until noodles have softened (follow package cooking instructions on the noodles).

    Step Six: Stir in one can of cream of mushroom soup. Let simmer on low heat for another 5 minutes before removing from the stove and serving.

    Ingredients:

    • 1.5 lb round steak, sliced into ½ inch pieces
    • ¼ cup, flour
    • ¼ tsp, black pepper
    • ¼ cup, butter
    • ½ medium yellow onion, chopped
    • 1 tbsp, minced garlic
    • ½ lb, mushrooms, roughly chopped
    • 2 cups, boiling water mixed with 1 beef bouillon packet
    • 2 tsp, worcestershire sauce
    • ¼ cup, cooking sherry
    • 2 cups, water 
    • 1 can, cream of mushroom soup
    • 6 cups, wide egg noodles

    Directions:

    1. Add flour and black pepper to a bowl and cut steak into ½ inch strips. Dredge cut steak into the flour mixture.
    2. In a large pot or dutch oven, heat on medium low and add butter. Once melted, turn add the steak and brown the meat.
    3. Once the steak has browned, turn the heat down to medium and add the onions, garlic, and mushrooms. Saute for 3-5 minutes.
    4. Add bouillon, sherry, and worcestershire sauce, let simmer covered for 20 minutes.
    5. Add water and the egg noodles, bring to a boil. Turn the temperature down to medium low and cook for time allotted on the noodle package (approx. 10 minutes)
    6. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, let simmer on low heat for another 5 minutes.
    7. Serve and enjoy! 
    Notes:
    1. Swap the steak for ground beef or turkey for a cheaper alternative
    2. Could swap the egg noodles for another pasta or even some white or brown rice
    3. Beef bouillon can be swapped for 2 cups of beef stock
    4. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days
