This strawberry daiquiri is made with real ingredients - no pre-made mixers - and a sugar-free simple syrup to give this usually overly-sugary cocktail a lightened up and refreshing feel!
I love a refreshing summer cocktail. What I don’t love is all the added sugars! After having a few strawberry daiquiris at the Tall Ship in East Boston last summer, I was reminded of how tasty and delicious this drink can be! I was also (rudely) reminded of what a sugar hangover feels like!
For this strawberry daiquiri recipe, I set out to create a lightened up version without the added sugars but still with all the refreshing taste!
The key: a zero sugar simple syrup and frozen strawberries. No pre-made mixers allowed!

What Ingredients are Needed for a Light & Refreshing Strawberry Daiquiri?
White Rum: White, high-quality rum. The better the rum you use, the tasiter this will be!
Strawberries: Frozen to blend into the cocktail and fresh to use as an optional garnish!
Simple Syrup: Opt for a sugar-free simple syrup like Swoon to keep this drink light on the sugar and heavy on the refreshing! I love Swoon Simple Syrup because it is naturally sweetened with monk fruit!
Lime Juice: To balance out the sweetness of the strawberries.
Ice: Blended up into our cocktail to achieve the perfect slushy consistency of a daiquiri.
