Fruity, refreshing, and the least boring water out there! This homemade flavored sparkling water will become your new go-to drink when regular old tap water just isn’t cutting it.
Do you have a SodaStream? If so, this recipe is perfect for you! The sparkling water flavorings you can buy in the store do not cut it for me, they taste too artificial. So I like to enhance my water my own way - with natural fruits and herbs.
Don’t have a SodaStream? No big deal! You can simply use any store-bought plain seltzer or sparkling water OR just use regular unfizzy water.
Why I Love Having Flavored Sparkling Water On-Hand:
- Great for entertaining - provides guests with a non-alcoholic, fun drink option
- Great for when regular water seems boring
- Helps me stay hydrated throughout the day
- It tastes good!
- Added health benefits
- Turns a beautiful pink color the longer the flavors sit and absorb into the water!
What Ingredients are Needed for Homemade Flavored Sparkling Water?
Fresh Fruit: This one is all about preference. For this recipe we’re using a combination of blood oranges, limes, and lemons.
Plain Seltzer Water: If you don’t have your own seltzer water making machine, just buy a plain bottle of sparkling or seltzer water at the store. Or you can totally make this with just regular tap water.
Ice: Just a handful of ice.
Fresh Herbs: Mint is my herb of choice when it comes to enhancing my water, but you can opt for anything you like! Basil or rosemary would be good swaps.
