What Pairs Well with Cheesy Garlic Bread?
- Your favorite fall soup or chili! If you’re looking for some inspiration I have a few recipes linked below that will pair nicely with this bread!
- A hearty salad like my Winter Harvest Salad or Harvest Bowl.
- Use this bread as a side to accompany your favorite protein (chicken, fish, beef)

What Ingredients are Needed for Crusty Cheesy Garlic Bread?
French Baguette: A whole baguette of french bread sliced in half lengthwise. The french baguette is nice and soft in comparison to say a sourdough or ciabatta bread and will toast up easily and get that perfect crunch factor.
Olive Oil: Used to saute our garlic cloves with. If you so desire, you can also use it as a dipping sauce with some pepper and garlic powder.
Butter: Unsalted butter smeared across the bread before baking.
Garlic: Garlic powder and chopped and sauteed garlic cloves.
Mozzarella Cheese: Shredded mozzarella cheese is our cheese of choice for this recipe.
Chives: Fresh chives, chopped small and sprinkled on top of our bread after baking is complete.

Kitchen Tools Needed for this Recipe
- Small skillet
- Baking tray
- Tin foil

How to Make Crusty Cheesy Garlic Bread
Step One: Preheat the oven to 400° F and line a baking tray with tin foil. Slice the baguette in half lengthwise. If your baguette is extra long, you may have to cut it into four equal slices.
Step Two: In a small pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Saute the garlic pieces until browned.
Step Three: Spread softened butter across the tops of each slice of bread. Sprinkle lightly with garlic powder and evenly distribute the sauteed garlic. Place another layer of tin foil over the bread and wrap bread with the top and bottom pieces of foil. Bake for 10 minutes.
Step Four: Remove the top layer of tin foil from the bread and top with shredded mozzarella cheese. Bake in the oven uncovered for 5-6 minutes.
Step Five: Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped chives. Enjoy served warm!
