Since we’ve sweetened up the carrots by adding brown sugar, a few different herbs would compliment the carrots nicely. I recommend garnishing with thyme or rosemary to enhance the dish even more - especially if you’re serving guests!

Ingredients Needed for these Brown Sugar Boiled Carrots
Just 3 simple ingredients is all you need for this easy and delicious side dish!
Carrots: Large whole carrots, peeled and chopped into coin-sized pieces. You can have some fun with this and get the colorful purple and white carrots as well as regular orange ones!
Brown Sugar: Regular dark brown sugar, light brown sugar, or even coconut sugar will work!
Butter: A little buttery goodness slathered on these carrots takes them from bland to BAM.

How to Make Brown Sugar Boiled Carrots
There’s not much to this recipe!
Peel and slice the carrots.
Boil until fork tender and drain the water.
Add the brown sugar and butter.
Stir until carrots are completely coated.
